Rich Spear

Biographical Information[edit]
Rich Spear was baseball coach at Duquesne University from 1970-1993. He hit .356 as a senior first baseman at Duquesne then was assistant from 1966-1969. After his stint as baseball coach, he was in charge of intramural athletics. In 2003, he won a Jefferson Award for Community Service for his work with the Cali Orphanage for Girls in Colombia. He cited Mother Theresa as one of his roloe models.
