Biographical Information

Riccardo Babini has played in the Italian Baseball League.

Babini went 0 for 2 with a walk and a run for Rimini in 2005, his debut in Italy's top league. He was 5 for 32 with 10 whiffs in '07. In the 2007 European Cup, he went 2 for 10 with an error. In 2008, he was 2 for 33 with a walk, run and 3 RBI. He went 0 for 7 with a walk and two runs in 2009, then was 1 for 3 with a walk, run and 2 RBI in 2010. In 2011, he hit .250/.368/.271 in 20 games, fielding .909 at 2B. He split 2B with Joe Persichina for Rimini in 2012, hitting only .193/.242/.193 in 26 games and fielding .971.
