Renato Anasagasti was on the roster of the Netherlands Antilles in events 26 years apart.
Anastagasti played in the 1982 Central American and Caribbean Games and 1983 Pan American Games. He hit .196/.196/.217 in the 1984 Amateur World Series and fielded .878 at third base, starting for the Antilles there. He played for them in the 1986 Amateur World Series and 1987 Pan American Games as well. In the 1988 Baseball World Cup, Renato was 3 for 15 with a double. He also was with the Antilles for the 1991 Pan American Games and the 1995 Pan American Games.
The Antilles did not play in another major international event until the 2008 Americas Baseball Cup; Anastagasti was a player-coach for the Antilles then. He did not get into a game as a player but his squad won a spot in the 2009 Baseball World Cup. Anastagasti coached for the Antilles in that World Cup.
