Biographical Information[edit]
Ren Deagle went 17-15 during 1883-84 in the American Association. After an excellent 1883 with Cincinnati he slumped in 1884 but recovered with Louisville.
An 1885 issue of The Sporting Life called him "the best dressed player in the city" (reporting from Cincinnati).
He was with Topeka in 1886.
The SABR biography of John Reilly says that Reilly played for top amateur clubs in the late 1870's in Cincinnati as a teammate of Deagle and Buck Ewing.
The June 1, 1887 issue of The Sporting Life announced that he had been hired as a Western League umpire.
