Biographical Information[edit]

Relly Mercurio has played and managed in the independent leagues. He has spent most of his career in the Pecos League, but played a couple of seasons in the United League as well. A utilityman, he first played in 2012.

He managed the Roswell Invaders to a 42-19, 2nd-place finish in 2018; the club lost in the 1st round of the playoffs to the Trinidad Triggers. He led the Invaders to a 37-20, 3rd-place finish in 2019; the club reached the second round of the playoffs, losing to the Alpine Cowboys. Under his guidance, the Bakersfield Train Robbers went 33-5 (.868 winning percentage) in 2021, finishing in 1st-place, 11 games ahead of the #2 Martinez Sturgeon. They lost in the second round of the playoffs to the Tucson Saguaros.

As of 2023, he was still the manager of the Bakersfield Train Robbers.
