Biographical Information

Reinier Verano has pitched for the Pinar del Río Tobacco Growers. He tossed 1 1/3 shutout innings in 2007-2008 then did not resurface until 2010-2011, when he went 5-2 with a 5.76 ERA and .313 opponent average. In 2011-2012, he started 2-2; on March 6, he tossed 6 2/3 no-hit innings against the Metropolitanos before Enrique Esteban Díaz; it was notable because that was Díaz's 2,356th hit in Cuba, tying Antonio Pacheco's record.
