Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Red Thomas made his professional baseball debut with the Chicago Cubs on September 21, 1921. He appeared in eight games, had 30 at-bats with eight hits for a .267 batting average. He also had 26 chances in the field, made one miscue and fielded at a .965 percentage. Red's last appearance was on September 28th of the same season. This was it for Red in the big leagues and also the minors as there is no more mention of him playing in the pro game again.
Robert William Thomas died from Pneumonia on March 29, 1962 at his home in Fremont, OH.
