Biographical Information[edit]
Clarence "Red" Munson played five games for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1905 in the later part of the season. A catcher, he also had nine seasons in the minors and managed several seasons.
Baseball Magazine in September 1913 mentioned an incident where a ball supposedly hit Munson's face mask and stuck between the bars. Munson didn't see it (it was above his eye level) and the runner scored while Munson was looking for the ball.
