Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Red Mincy played fourteen seasons of minor league ball, with a three year break in the middle of his career while he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II]. With the Salem-Roanoke Friends in 1939, he hit .346 and led the Virginia League with 92 runs scored. Later in his career, he was a player-manager for several seasons. After baseball, he worked for the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles.
