Biographical Information[edit]
Red Flaherty was an American League umpire from 1953 to 1973 and worked four World Series and three All-Star Games.
Flaherty began his career in the PONY League in 1939. He worked the Middle Atlantic League in 1940-1941, New England League in 1949, Eastern League in 1950-1951, and International League in 1953 through August 19th. He moved to the majors on August 20, 1953.
