Biographical Information

Relief pitcher Raymundo Montero began his professional career in 2008. He was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the San Francisco Giants on August 28, 2007.

He has had a few seasons of particular note. With the DSL Giants in 2009, he posted a 1.14 ERA in 19 games. With the AZL Giants in 2010, his ERA was 2.70 in 18 games. He had a 1.82 mark, a 13.0 K/9 IP ratio, 24 games finished and 14 saves in 25 games for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in 2013 to earn MiLB.com Organization All-Star honors and a Northwest League Mid-Season All-Star selection.

Despite being 25 and nearly four years older than the average South Atlantic League player, he began 2015 with the Single-A Augusta GreenJackets.
