Biographical Information

Ray Kuhlman returned baseball to Kinston, NC when he purchased a Carolina League team and moved them in 1978 to become the Kinston Eagles; the team was renamed the Kinston Blue Jays in 1982. Kuhlman remained an owner until 1983. He had previously served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. In 1989, he was inducted into the Kinston Professional Baseball Hall of Fame.
