Biographical Information[edit]
Ray French is second all-time in games played in the minor leagues with 3278, and first in games at shortstop with 2736 and in at-bats with 12,174.
French managed the Mansfield Braves (1939) and Ashland Colonels (1939-1941). He then umpired in the Three-I League (1946), American Association (1947), California League (1948-1949), and Western International League (1950). He is a member of the Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame
