Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Ray Coss played in the minor leagues in 1946, 1947, 1949, 1950 and 1953, beginning his career as a 16-year-old.
He hit .300 or better twice. In 1949, with the Midland Indians and El Dorado Oilers, he batted .333 in 86 games. In 1953, he hit .304 in 110 games between the Monroe Sports and El Dorado Oilers.
Overall, he hit .296 with 652 hits in 552 games over five seasons.
