Randy Munch

Shortstop Randy Munch played for Team Canada.
Munch debuted with the Melville Millionaires in the 1966 Southern League in Saskatchewan and won Rookie of the Year. In '67, he hit .313/.319/.366 for the Saskatoon Commodores. He was at .239/.264/.282 for the 1968 Commodores and .270/.276/.344 in 1969, then .247/.293/.301 in 1970. In 1971, he batted .304 with a league-leading 11 swipes. He also played for Team Canada in the 1971 Amateur World Series.
He posted a .282/.326/.347 line for the 1973 Commodores and led the Southern League with 18 stolen bases. He hit .262/.354/.310 in 1974 as his walk rate was picking up. He batted .326 for the 1975 Saskatoon Boston Royals. He later coached. In 2002, he was inducted into the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame.
