Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Randy Meadows played in the independent and minor leagues from 1998 to 2002. Despite slashing just .146/194/.167 in 39 games for the unaffiliated Dubois County Dragons of the Heartland League in 1998, the Montreal Expos signed him for 1999. He played in their system through 2001, also spending time in the Chicago Cubs system and indy ball that year. He wrapped up his career in the Pittsburgh Pirates system in 2002. In 292 games over five seasons, he hit .200/.248/.255 with 3 home runs and 54 RBI. He struck out 178 times to just 31 walks and was caught stealing 16 times to just 10 successful tries. He had a 3.86 ERA in four relief appearances on the mound.
