Biographical Information[edit]

Second baseman Randy Blood played in the Colorado Rockies and Chicago White Sox system from 2003 to 2006. He was taken in the sixth round of the 2003 amateur draft, one pick ahead of third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff and ahead of outfielder Matt Kemp.

He played over 100 games twice, in 2004 and 2005. The first year, spent with the Asheville Tourists, he batted .286/.359/.413 with 10 home runs and 13 stolen bases in 113 games. He played 101 games for the Modesto Nuts in 2005, hitting .251/.319/.381 with five home runs and no steals. He wrapped up his career playing briefly in the Rockies system in 2006.

Overall, he batted .264/.333/.385 with 19 home runs, 156 RBI and 15 steals in 288 games.
