Ramon Romeijn made his pro debut in 2007.
Romeijn was with the Netherlands for the 2006 World Junior Championship. He began the 2007 season with the Hoofddorp Pioniers, walking 14 and allowing 15 runs (10 earned) in 10 innings while going 1-1. He was actually better in the US minors than in Hoofdklasse that year. Signed by the Seattle Mariners out of the European Baseball Academy, he had a 7.04 ERA for the AZL Mariners. He struck out 9 in 7 2/3 innings and allowed 9 hits, 5 walks and 3 wild pitches.
