Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder and catcher Ramon Lora played in the minor leagues from 1974 to 1982. He reached Triple-A, but never made the major leagues.

He was in the Philadelphia Phillies system in 1974 and 1975 and from 1977 to 1980 and in the Toronto Blue Jays system in 1981 and 1982. From 1982 to 1985, he played in the Mexican League. He did not play in 1976.

1978 was his only season in affiliated ball that he played 100 or more games. That year, with the Peninsula Pilots, he hit .278/.362/.368 with 111 hits in 120 matches. A few years later, in 1981, he hit .310/.343/.438 in 80 games for the Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs.

He died in a car accident at age 30 in 1985.
