Biographical Information[edit]
Rafael García won a record seven Chihuahuan state titles as a player (1965-1967, 1969, 1975-1977) then managed a titlist in 1980 and coached for one in 2016. His playing career ran from 1964-1989 with a couple interuptions. He pitched for the Mexican national team in the 1966 Central American and Caribbean Games, 1967 Pan American Games (losing to Tim Plodinec and champion Team USA), 1969 Amateur World Series, 1970 Central American and Caribbean Games (winning a Bronze Medal), ]]1971 Pan American Games]] and 1971 Amateur World Series.
