Biographical Information[edit]

Quentin Williams was a two-sport star in high school. He hit .536 with 23 RBI as a high school senior and was 2-2 with a 1.22 ERA. The Toronto Blue Jays chose him in the 38th round of the 2008 amateur draft, but he opted for college on a football scholarship (he was ranked 11th nationally among tight end prospects entering college).

As a freshman in college, Williams was the starting right fielder for Northwestern and hit .222/.259/.432. He was only 9 for 55 with a triple, home run and 7 walks as a sophomore and did not play in baseball the next two years, focusing on football as a defensive end.
