Biographical Information[edit]

Preston Wilson is the nephew and stepson of Mookie Wilson. Mookie's brother is Preston's father; Mookie married Preston's mother after Preston was born. He is a member of the 30-30 club, turning the trick with the 2000 Florida Marlins (31 bombs, 36 bags), and a former National League RBI leader, driving in 141 with the 2003 Colorado Rockies.

Wilson hit .347 and slugged .571 with 11 runs in 13 games for the US in the 1992 World Junior Championship as they won Silver.

Following his playing career, he became a broadcaster, working for the Marlins and Fox Sports Florida for several years before becoming a Houston Astros broadcaster in 2018. He also pops up from time to time as an analyst on the MLB Network.
