Playland Park
Playland Park was an amusement park located in South Bend, IN that also had a baseball field which served as a minor league ballpark, and more well known, the home of the South Bend Blue Sox of the AAGPBL from 1946 to 1954.
The park was originally called Springbrook Park (and is listed as so in some minor league record books) until 1924 when the new manager, Pete Redden took over and held a contest to rename it, and thus it became Playland Park.
