Biographical Information[edit]
Miguel Gaspar was elected into the Salon de la Fama in 1994. All told, he played professionally from 1950 to 1969 and he managed the 1959 Rojos del Águila de Veracruz, the Dorados de Chihuahua in 1976-1977, the Azules de Coatzacoalcos in 1979, the 1988 Ganaderos de Tabasco and the 1993 Pericos de Puebla.
In 1951, Gaspar hit 4 HRs and a 2B in the home opener for the Laredo Apaches on April 13, leading to 9 RBIs in the 13-2 win over the Texas City Texans.
