Phoenix Peppers
The Phoenix Peppers were one of the original teams in the Ladies Professional Baseball League in 1997. They remained in the league in 1998, when the league folded at the end of July. They played their home games at Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale, AZ.
The Peppers were 12-17 in 1997 under manager Dan Hughes. Catcher Sandra Langston was second in the league with a .457 average. Christina DeLuca had an ERA of 3.25. Korine Gomez led the league with 11 doubles.
Hughes returned as manager in 1998, with the team finishing 4-8.
