Biographical Information[edit]
Pete Sivess graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA and is enshrined in the college's Hall of Fame as the only four-letter athlete in the college's history. As a pitcher he had a 20 and 7 record and upon graduation went straight to the Philadelphia Phillies and in 1936, 1937 and 1938 where he pitched in 62 games in total.
He joined the Navy after Pearl Harbor, served in all three theaters and was decorated by the Czech and Russian governments for leadership during reconstruction. After service he worked for the CIA for 28 years, where he debriefed defectors, political refugees, and former prisoners; among the prisoners was Gary Powers.
