Biographical Information[edit]
Pete Fries played in the bigs in 1883 and 1884. He was apparently with Bay City in 1883 before coming to the 1883 Columbus Buckeyes to pitch three games. The press noted that he often threw wild pitches (a total of eight in 25 innings with Columbus). In 1884, he played one game in the outfield with the 1884 Indianapolis Hoosiers and was a pitcher/outfielder with the Stillwater team.
