Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Pete Fairbanks was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 9th round of the 2015 amateur draft. While he was born in Milwaukee, WI, he grew up around St. Louis, MO and attended the University of Missouri, where his father Shane Fairbanks had played baseball a couple of decades earlier; Shane had a brief pro career as well.
After making his major league debut on June 9, 2019, he went 0-2, 9.35 in 8 games for the Rangers, then on July 13th was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays for Nick Solak.
