Pedro Torres hit .330/.422/.550 for Granada in 1971 in the Nicaraguan amateur league. That performance won him a spot on the Nicaraguan national team for the 1971 Pan American Games. He hit cleanup and played third base in the opener against Team USA but fell lower in the lineup as the games went on and hit 8th a couple times. He alternated between 3B and 2B and hit .222. He had also played for Nicaragua in the 1969 Amateur World Series.

He drew 39 walks in 1972 to tie for the league lead (full statistics are unavailable online as of 2/8/18). He hit .282/.429/.333 for Chinandega in 1974, .242/.309/.267 between three teams in 1975 and .343/.432/.410 for Rivas and Carazo in 1976. Playing for Leon in '77, he slipped to .239/.364/.307 but stole 24 bases in 29 tries. Returning to Granada in 1978, he put up a .329/.407/.382 batting line.

He hit .195/.267/.260 for Granada in 1981 to end his career. He coached for Nicaragua in the 1983 Intercontinental Cup and 2003 Baseball World Cup.
