Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Pedro Guerrero played in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization from 2006 to 2013. Signed as a 17-year-old, he spent his first two years with the DSL Dodgers. He moved to the United States with the GCL Dodgers in 2008. Never much of a hitter, his best season with the bat came in 2011 with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the California League, when he hit .274, in just 39 games however. More typically, he hit between .200 and .220 with little power, spending most of his time in rookie league and Class A. He played just one game in AA and two in AAA and was almost never a starter, playing over 90 games in a season just once, in 2012, split between Rancho Cucamonga and the Great Lakes Loons.

In 2016 and 2017, he was a bench coach with the Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer League, a Dodgers affiliate. In 2018, he joined the staff of the major league Philadelphia Phillies as assistant hitting coach under new manager Gabe Kapler, who had also moved over from the Dodgers organization. He stayed with the Phillies in the same role after the departure of Kapler, but left after the 2021 season to rejoin Kapler as assistant hitting coach with the San Francisco Giants in 2022. He remained in this role with the Giants through 2024.
