Paul Wyczawski has been a college coach.
Wyczawski hit .375 as a senior At South Dakota State in 1981 then moved into the coaching ranks, going 9-7 for Yankton College in 1985. He moved on to Peru State College, where he was 108-100 from 1986-1990. An assistant at Mississippi State in 1991-1992, he then left college to be head coach of Hillcrest Christian School from 1993-2003, with a 254-73 record. He coached both Seth Smith and Stephen Head in high school. During this period, he was also an associate scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1994-1995) and Texas Rangers (1996-2003). Back in college, he was an assistant at Murray State University from 2005-2010. He then was hired as head coach of the University of Texas at Tyler, going 33-8 his first year. After two seasons at UTT, he was named head coach of University of Dubuque for 2013. He remained until his retirement in 2023, having gone 203-212-1 and setting the school record for wins (29) his final season.
