Biographical Information[edit]
Paul Powell played three years in the major leagues. Although he came up as a center fielder with the Minnesota Twins in 1971, in 1975, he was used mostly as a catcher by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Powell was at Arizona State University at the same time as Len Randle and Lerrin LaGrow. Powell was a first round draft pick in the 1969 amateur draft, while LaGrow was a 6th round pick the same year, and Randle was a first round pick in 1970.
