Biographical Information

Infielder Paul McSweeney broke into the majors during the last few days of the American Association, which folded after the 1891 season. The St. Louis Browns continued to play in 1892 in the National League, but with largely different players and Paul was not one of them.

He was apparently a local amateur from the St. Louis area.
