Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Paul Marak was signed as an 11th round pick in the January 1985 amateur draft by the Atlanta Braves and scout Herb Hippauf.
When Marak made his Major League debut in 1990, he became the first major leaguer born in England to make his debut since Danny Cox in 1983. In seven games in the Majors that year, Marak went 1-2 with a 3.69 ERA. His only career win was a complete game shutout.
