Biographical Information[edit]
Paul Carter came out of Southwestern Presbyterian University in 1914 and debuted in the majors on September 15 with the Cleveland Naps. He played seven years in the majors, including with the pennant-winning 1918 Chicago Cubs. In 127 games, he was 20-26 with a 3.32 ERA. In 1920, he was accused of fixing games and banned from MLB. He finished his career with three seasons with the Kansas City Blues and six games with the Jersey City Skeeters in 1924.
