Patrick Naude has played for the South African national team. In the 2001 Baseball World Cup, he hit .267/.313/.400 as a 1B-DH. He was just 4 for 27 with two walks and eight strikeouts in the 2005 Baseball World Cup, in which he was South Africa's main right fielder. His best event came in his most prominent tournament, going 2 for 5 with two walks in the 2006 World Baseball Classic.
