Biographical Information[edit]

Pat Shine has been a minor league manager.

Shine was the starting quarterback when his high school ranked 9th nationally in 1990. He played baseball in college then was volunteer coach at UC-Berkeley in 1998-1999, the same year he managed the St. Cloud Riverbats. In 2000, he was interim manager of the Brewster Whitecaps when they won the Cape Cod League and he was assistant coach at the University of New Mexico. From 2002-2004, he was assistant coach at University of California-Irvine, a role he reprised from 2008-2013; in between, he was assistant coach at UCLA (2005-2006) and head coach of Cal State-Los Angeles (45-17-1 in 2007, a spot in the 2007 Division II College World Series). From 2014-2016, he was video replay coordinator and administrative coach for the Miami Marlins. He became a minor league manager in 2017 with the Clinton LumberKings.
