Biographical Information[edit]
Pat Murphy was a 30-year-old rookie with the New York Giants and played four seasons with them, all under manager Jim Mutrie. In 1888 he was backup to catcher Buck Ewing, in a year when the Giants won the pennant and the 1888 World's Series.
