Pat Hughes
Pat Hughes is the play-by-play broadcaster for the Chicago Cubs. His long-time partner was Cubs great Ron Santo. Prior to joining the Cubs, he broadcast games for the Minnesota Twins and Milwaukee Brewers.
His trademarks include his home run call, "this ball has got a chance...home run!"
He also has broadcasted University of Iowa football and basketball games as well as Marquette University basketball. He is an alumni of Branham High School in San Jose, CA.
He was named the winner of the Ford Frick Award given out by the Hall of Fame in 2022, with the award to be formally bestowed during the induction ceremonies for the 2023 Hall of Fame Class.
