Pat Carey has been a college coach.
Carey was his conference's Player of the Year while in junior college in 1996. He then transferred to Providence, where he started at shortstop. He was assistant coach at Rockland Community College from 2000-2002, then was 44-28 as head coach in 2003-2004. After a year as assistant at Fordham University in 2005, he was hired as head coach of Iona College, replacing Al Zoccolillo. He remained there until 2018.
