Biographical Information[edit]
Pat Bourque showed promise in the Chicago Cubs' minor league system but could never deliver at the big league level. In parts of four seasons, Pat hit just .215 in 405 at bats with 12 home runs. The first baseman was traded to the Oakland A's in 1973. He saw his only taste of postseason action in the 1973 ALCS and World Series and finished his career with the Minnesota Twins in 1974 (although he was traded back to the A's following the 1974 season for "Disco" Dan Ford and Dennis Myers).
