Paddy Greene is listed as being at Villanova University from 1894-1902, coming to the majors in September 1902. Villanova had several players of Irish extraction who came to the majors around then, including Mike O'Neill and Mickey Doolan.
His minor league career ran from at least 1897-1909.
He was the first of ten players (through 2008) with the last name Greene to come to the majors.
