In 1910 and 1913 the Ottumwa, IA team in the Central Association was known as the Ottumwa Packers but for the in-between two years they were the Ottumwa Speedboys. The Speedboys won the 1911 pennant with an 87-41 record after a hard-fought pennant race with the Burlington Pathfinders. The club was led by 2B Kensel (.323/~.388/.412, 100 R) and CF Johnson (.305/~.341/.463, 48 SB). Pitcher Boyd went 30-7. Ottumwa started the 1912 season slowly, occupying last place for a spell, but finished in first once more at 79-50.
