Otis Field
Measuring 550' to left field, 585' to center and 428' to right, Otis Field was one large park, even if it only held a maximum of 2,000 fans. The man who helped build the park claims only two balls were ever hit out fair. Built around 1931-32 on a city dump in Oswego, NY, it was used for semipro games and youth teams. When the Oswego Netherlands were formed in 1936, they played there and remained for five years. The stadium had lights from 1936-39 and the field was dismantled by fans for firewood and torn down in the mid-1950s to make room for Leighton Elementary School.
