Biographical Information[edit]
Osvaldo Fernandez had a 4.50 ERA for the Cuban national team in the 1990 Central American and Caribbean Games, was 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA and 21 K in 12 IP in the 1990 Baseball World Cup (he was 3rd in ERA behind Lázaro Valle and Jesús Feliciano Sr.), went 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA in the 1993 Intercontinental Cup (leading Cuba with five appearances), was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in the 1993 Central American and Caribbean Games and was 2-0 with a 1.65 ERA for Cuba in the 1994 Baseball World Cup. Cuba won all four events.
