Biographical Information[edit]
Osamu Omoto was an engineer and taught at Shibaura Kogyo University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He researched the safety of metal bats. He also advised the Japan High School Federation. In 2012, he was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame.
