Orlando Lavandera has been an outfielder with the La Habana Cowboys. He hit .290/.355/.393 in 2007-2008; through that season, his 3rd, he had hit .290. He saw limited action when La Habana won the title in 2008-2009, going 10 for 38 with two walks and a triple. After Ruby Silva defected, Lavandera became a starter in 2009-2010. He struggled, batting just .227/.287/.301. He led the Cuban Serie Nacional with 18 sacrifice hits that year.
