Biographical Information

Ollie Sax was in the majors in 1928. Although his major league days were in St. Louis, he apparently liked cold weather for the minors - he was in places like Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Albany. He played IF for Toronto Maple Leafs of the International League in 1934.

The first major leaguer named Ollie was Ollie Beard.
