Olexiy Glukhiy hit .185/.241/.185 for the Ukrainian national team in the 2003 European Championship. Splitting 2B with Yuriy Shvets, he had one error in ten chances; he was in the outfield the rest of the time and had six putouts there. He was a backup 2B, LF and DH in the 2008 European Championship Qualifiers, going 1 for 13 with a double and two runs. He is back with the Ukraine for the 2010 European Championship.
