Biographical Information[edit]
Ole Olsen had a record of 8-7 in the majors, pitching for manager Ty Cobb of the Detroit Tigers. He pitched in the minors during most of the 1920s, several times winning in double figures.
Olsen was the oldest of 10 children. He was married to Margaret Mary Mulligan and had three children Arthur Ole Olsen Jr., Karen Olsen and Sheila Olsen. Arthur Jr. and Sheila followed Ole to Cornell University. Ole's other relatives were Arthur Jr.'s wife Ruth Jean Lipman and their daughters Nina, Roberta, Erika and Aleta, Karen's husband Reynold Gordon and their kids Craig, Jeffrey, Davida and Lisa, Sheila's husband Edvin Stromsten and their children Anne and Sean.
He lived in Norwalk, Connecticut and Rowayton, Connecticut his whole life. He loved to fish, swim and boat.
